We're Joe & Del, "The Wine Couple", and we moved to the county for one reason: the wine! We found many other things here since we've moved (like the food, arts and the friendliness of the people) but we remain committed to our love of the wine!

We hope to have every winery on this site and have the most extensive list of every wine in the county! Search for your favorite wine or winery using the search bar at the top left of this page and feel free to leave comments on the site. Your fellow wine lovers will appreciate the feedback ... ENJOY!

Lacey Estates 2008 Pinot Noir

2008 Pinot Noir - $35

Our 2008 Pinot has a nose of chocolate and cherries with leather and smoke. There is a nice balance of tannins and acidity. This fruit forward Pinot has a kiss of oak that lets the Terroir show through. Ripe red fruits continue into the long finish. Tony Aspler rates it an 86 and says it's "Volnay style with a green note, light-bodied with a firm tannic finish".

Suggested Food Pairing – Stuffed Roast Pork

Lacey Estates 2008 Oaked Chardonnay

2008 Oaked Chardonnay - $29

Our 2008 Chardonnay has a nose of caramel and vanilla with a hint of oak. Citrus flavours dominate the palate of this wine. The wine was fermented in seasoned French oak and aged in seasoned French oak for 16 months. It is well-balanced with the minerality of the Terroir showing through. Tony Aspler rates this wine an 89 and calls it "a big juicy wine in Paskus style".

Suggested Food Pairing - Chicken with cream sauce

Lacey Estates 2008 Baco Noir

2008 Baco Noir - $20

2010 ARTEVINO BRONZE MEDAL WINNER

Our 2008 Baco Noir has lots of dark fruit on the nose, and raspberry and leather. The palate is smooth velvet fruit forward with a nice balance of wood-to-acid tannins. The wine has a long finish and well balanced. Ontario Wine Diva Patricia Dinsmore describes it as "[b]lacker than SIN – that’s the only way to describe the colour – and the aromas and flavours are equally sinful". Tony Aspler rates this wine an 87 and says it's "fruity and fresh with a lively acidity". Shari Darling (The Sophisticated Wino) of the Peterborough Examiner describes our baco as "funky good...worth stocking up on for cottage weekends and barbecue dining".

Suggested Food Pairing – Grilled striploin

Lacey Estates 2009 Gewurztraminer

2009 Gewurztraminer - $22

2010 ARTEVINO BRONZE MEDAL WINNER

A golden hue adorns our 2009 Gewurztraminer, done in the traditional Alsatian style. The classic aroma of rose and lychee dominates the nose, and the taste is subtle and smooth with an underlying sweetness that follows through to a long finish. Tony Aspler rates it an 88 and calls it "a muscular wine with true varietal character".

Suggested Food Pairing – Spicy Thai Food or Curries
