2008 Baco Noir - $20
2010 ARTEVINO BRONZE MEDAL WINNEROur 2008 Baco Noir has lots of dark fruit on the nose, and raspberry and leather. The palate is smooth velvet fruit forward with a nice balance of wood-to-acid tannins. The wine has a long finish and well balanced. Ontario Wine Diva Patricia Dinsmore describes it as "[b]lacker than SIN – that’s the only way to describe the colour – and the aromas and flavours are equally sinful". Tony Aspler rates this wine an 87 and says it's "fruity and fresh with a lively acidity". Shari Darling (The Sophisticated Wino) of the Peterborough Examiner describes our baco as "funky good...worth stocking up on for cottage weekends and barbecue dining".
Suggested Food Pairing – Grilled striploin
