2009 Grange of Prince Edward Fumé Blanc VQA PEC VQA
2009 was the first harvest of Sauvignon Blanc from our new planting in 2007. We harvested 2.3 tonnes from about 2400 vines in October and began to discover what these new vines had to offer. This wine was fermented and aged in old French oak for 6 months and has developed into a distinctive wine interestingly more tropical than herbaceous.
Youthful and fresh with a greenish hue the nose is ripe with passion fruit, mango and apricot which come through on the palate with some spice and a long finish of white pepper and citrus. $24.80
My favorite grape is Sauvignon Blanc and this Grange offering did NOT disappoint!
